What is Riftwake?

Riftwake is an isometric MMO where you lead a convoy through a world shattered by a quantum collapse. The terrain shifts weekly. The economy is driven entirely by players. And the game is designed from the ground up for people who have 20 minutes — or 2 hours — to play.

No $1,500 gaming PC required. It runs in your browser.

What makes it different?

You can't do everything. A limited build point system means your character specializes in 2-3 disciplines. Want to be a master blacksmith? You'll need someone else to be your doctor. Want to explore the frontier? You'll depend on crafters to keep your convoy running. Every player's choices prune away other paths — making your character genuinely yours and other players genuinely needed.

Playing together doesn't require being online together. Crafters fill orders that accumulated overnight. Explorers leave markers for others to discover. Builders shape the world for everyone who logs in next. The world moves while you're away because other people lived in it.

The world changes. Weekly terrain shifts bring new resources, new threats, and new opportunities. Stable hubs persist as social gathering points, but the wilderness between them is never the same twice.

Your convoy is your home. It grows with you. Recruit crew members, upgrade modules, deploy workers to gather resources. Whether you have 10 minutes to check in on a harvest or an evening to tackle a story quest, your convoy gives you something meaningful to do.

The Story

A quantum entanglement experiment went wrong. Reality fractured. The world is a patchwork of overlapping dimensions — unstable, dangerous, and full of things that shouldn't exist here. You wake up as the new leader of a damaged convoy. Survive. Rebuild. Uncover what happened. And maybe — just maybe — find a way to stop it from getting worse.

Core Systems

  • Convoy Management — Your mobile base that travels with you. Recruit crew, build modules, deploy teams.
  • Player-Driven Economy — Fill buy orders, set prices, build a reputation. No anonymous auction house — trade has a face.
  • Build Point Specialization — Master a blacksmith path and unlock armor or weapon specialization. Go deep in science to become a doctor, chef, or geologist. Your choices shape who you are and who you need.
  • Rogue-like Encounters — Random missions with moral choices, combat, and reputation consequences.
  • World Events — Global challenges that reward contributions of time and resources. Leaderboards track individual and guild impact.
  • Guilds (Convoys) — Join or form a convoy guild for cooperative play, shared goals, and collective strength.
